Yes, I Am A Team Player. But I'm Not On Your Team.

I still keep hearing this:

Be a team player.

I’m not vaccinated or “boosted” against COVID. I did consider it until I caught it - 3 times.

Now I’m even more determined not to be (who wants a risky shot with a 12% efficacy that lasts a few weeks?).

Society is still trying to shame people like me for not “being a team player”.

Since when am I on your team?

We aren’t friends. Your society is poison and an existential threat to my family.

At what point did we become comrades in this or any struggle?

My job is to survive in a hostile world you’ve created, where you and people like you intend harm against me and those like me.

I just want to be left alone to raise my kids and serve God in peace.

I have a team but it’s not yours.
